CCRE Clinical Trial Centre (CTC), School of Public Health & Preventive Medicine, Monash University, located on the campus of Caulfield Hospital, was established in 2005 as a community-based research clinic to conduct both investigator driven and industry sponsored trials. Research is focused on cardiovascular-based preventive health studies, both interventional and observational, and is also involved in liaising and working with general practitioners across Victoria.  CCRE CTC maintains a volunteer database (~3,000) for study recruitment.

CCRE CTC has acted as the Australian coordinating centre for several large-scale national and international studies including REACH registry, HOPE-3 and ONTARGET; recruited for the NH&MRC funded Kanyini GAP, SAVE, SCREEN-HF; and in recent years recruited for the Industry sponsored studies including ACCELERATE, ILLUMINATE, STABILITY and coordinated the Australian CLARIFY registry

Currently CCRE CTC works in collaboration with University of Newcastle, The George Institute for Global Health, and Curtin University and internationally with the Population Health Research Institute, Canada with recruitment taking place for the NH&MRC funded AUSPICE, INTEGRATE and QUARTET clinical trials.

CCRE CTC is staffed by highly qualified research nurses and research officers who have extensive experience in all aspects of clinical trial conduct and management, good clinical research practice and data management.
