Peninsula Health conducts Phase II, III and IV trials.

There is Clinical Trial Expertise in Anaesthesia and Pain Management, Cardiology, Gerontology, Haematology, Mental Health, Neurology, Oncology, Respiratory/Sleep Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Allied Health. A 10 year Research Strategic Plan was established in 2015 with the aim of embedding a culture of innovation, evaluation and research translation across the health service. Peninsula Health has a Professorial Academic Unit that provides structure and resources to support the conduct of research at PH and there is continued growth in academic positions and capability.

Peninsula Health has a Research and Academic Committee that has oversight of the Research Strategic Plan. Plans for a new Research and Education Centre are underway that will further advance the research capacity of Peninsula Health.
